For one of my university projects, I was tasked with producing a video advertisement that addressed a pressing social issue and inspired viewers to take action. I opted to create a rotoscope animation in Photoshop, a visually captivating technique that allows for a unique blend of animation and live-action elements. My focus was on child labor, a global crisis that disproportionately affects vulnerable populations.
The animation incorporated a combination of striking visuals and carefully researched statistics to paint a vivid picture of the challenges faced by child laborers. By highlighting the human cost of this issue, I aimed to evoke empathy and a sense of urgency among viewers. The final product was a powerful and impactful advertisement that effectively conveyed the importance of combating child labor and called for collective action.
