As a video editor on this collaborative project, I played a pivotal role in filming and editing the Burlington Teen Tour Band's (BTTB) compelling and emotionally resonant tribute to Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO). The video showcased the band performing both in their traditional uniforms and in pajamas, in support of children battling cancer.
Using Adobe Premiere Pro, I employed quick cuts, synchronously playing shots, and wide perspective shots to create an engaging and experience. The lighting was carefully considered, utilizing both minimal LED lighting and gymnasium lights to create a dynamic contrast between cuts.
The final product was a video that not only celebrated the BTTB's musical talent, but also conveyed a message of solidarity and hope for children with cancer. While my personal edit was ultimately not used for the final submission to POGO, the experience gained from working on this project was invaluable and contributed to my growth as a video editor.
